What To Do If the Father Does Not Want Your Unborn Child

Pregnancy is a subjective experience for each woman. First-time mothers who have desired a child for so long will be thrilled to fall pregnant. Some moms-to-be may feel surprised and elated about whether the pregnancy was planned or unplanned.

But what happens when the unborn child’s father has a negative reaction and does not want to be involved in their life? There are a few steps you can take to try to change the father’s mind. However, if he does not have a change of heart before the baby is born, you can make sure you and your baby are supported regardless of the father’s unwillingness to be involved.

Kick your feet up, relax, and log on to casino777.ch/it/ to play your favorite casino games. Not all wagers will result in a win, but you only know what will happen once you play!

Have a Serious Talk

Have a serious one-on-one talk with the child’s father. Each of you should take the time to lay out your opinion on the situation and your plan for transitioning into welcoming this baby into the world.

What are you going to do to prepare for the baby’s arrival? Ask the father if they are going to be involved if you decide to have the baby. If so, ask him how he will prepare for the baby as well. If not, and you have trouble reaching him in the coming months before the baby’s birth, you can take other measures to get the support you need.

The child’s father can ask all they want for you to have an abortion. However, if your plan as the child’s mother is to carry the baby to term to raise them, then the baby’s father cannot force you into an abortion. It is your body and your choice as the pregnant mother.

Update Him on Pregnancy Progress Regardless

If you are comfortable, continue to update him on pregnancy progress such as sending ultrasound pictures and letting him know how your prenatal appointments went. You never know if seeing how the baby is growing will help him to change his mind about how he can play a part in the child’s life.

When All Else Fails, File for Visitation and Child Support

If you cannot reason with the child’s father to be involved in the care of your unborn child, file for visitation and child support with your state’s local court. Once your baby is born and has a name and Social Security Number, this will be enough information to start the child support and visitation order process.

Once the court summons the child’s father, the judge will order a DNA test to establish paternity. Upon a positive DNA result, child support will commence as well as a visitation order if that is what you want to attempt.

Conclusion

Find a support system throughout your pregnancy. Just because the child’s father may be expressing ill will about the unplanned pregnancy does not mean other people are not happy for you. Keep in touch with the people that lift you for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
